Braves VS Marlins

Sitting 6 rows behind home plate. Some of the best seats in the house!

Good ole' Chipper Jones up to bat for the first time.

Little bit of rain started at the end of the 8th inning. We moved up under the cover, but we ended up leaving due to the large amounts of rain falling!

So...if you are wondering....

Driving home from the elementary school yesterday, I get a phone call from Thomas Louis who tells me he just won two tickets at work to the Braves game! Then he tells me where we are sitting and I can barely contain my excitement! We were 6 rows behind home plate, but we were just a little too far for the television shots. Oh well! We had a blast! The seats were amazing, nothing better than ballpark food (which was included), I was very impressed with the 755 club, which we had access to because of the season tickets we won. It was so amazing and I am very proud of Thomas getting the deal yesterday and to CBeyond's founder for giving his tickets as a prize for the evening! The Braves played well, but the Marlins pulled out the win. It was awesome being there for the 3 run homer, and being so close to the players as they ran in. I mean, some people may always get to sit that close, but the nosebleed section is what most people can afford! Ha! The rain delay might sound boring to some people, but we actually enjoyed it. It was fun watching how fast they get the field covered and then moving up and watching the rain come down. We loved every single minute!

The best and funniest part of the night was not until we returned to our car, after walking about a mile or so, in the rain, with our umbrellas and thunder and lighting all above us. We get back to Thomas' car, he opens the door for me, and I lean over to put the key in the ignition, and what do I find... THE DRIVER'S WINDOW ROLLED DOWN!!!!! Seat soaking wet, console area drenched, and the floor is destroyed. Yeah! Talk about not bright thinking our part. Who forgets to roll the window back up after paying the attendant. Here's the catch though.. we were in the ghetto parking, (however, it was still costs $10 to park there)...BUT WE WERE NOT ROBBED! The GPS, Thomas' work phone, Ipod connectors, chargers, etc, etc...all still sitting where we left it. Since we did not lose everything in the car, we had a good laugh and Thomas enjoyed wet britches all the way home. Thank the Lord there are still honest people in Atlanta.

Oh what a wonderful Friday night!!
Resting up for another long week for both of us!
Love to all!!

  1. I am jealous of the seats. My only trip to the braves game while I was home landed me right up in the nosebleed section. Keeepppping it real.

  2. Wow, I can't believe that you didn't lose all your things that you left in the car! I am so sorry that it rained in the window -- bad wet seat!

  3. glad you got to be there but I sat through the whole game just to get a glimpse of you two!!! And I am not a baseball fan -- and I dont think they should make what they make... and when teachers touch so many more lives and make so much less and ... I will get off my soapbox!
