Well.. what can I say... life got busy, Mallory, got a job, and there went time for the blog...
I am currently long term subbing in Kindergarten at Tolbert Elementary in Gordon County. It is about an hour drive to school in the morning and about an hour back in the afternoon. The time in between that makes the ride well worth it. I could never thank the Lord enough for allowing me this time with students in a classroom. It's my calling and with everything going on in our lives right now, God provided for us once again. I could talk forever about my class, but I am sure that is extremely boring to other people, but they are adorable and 24 five year olds can be quite a handful! I love going back to singing the ABC's and learning to count, although, I am not sure this would be my top pick of a grade if I was given a choice, but teaching is my life away from my family and Christ, so I smile every morning when I wake up knowing those 24 faces will be waiting on me when I get there!
Thomas is doing great! Work is good, and we are just keeping on keeping on. We are ready for some cooler weather as I think we all are. Lots of fun around here and when we go places. This weekend we spent time with my family and Thomas' family. We got Matthew safely back to New London, Connecticut for the Coast Guard Academy. We personally loved being there and seeing him on his last day. We also had lots of fun with Davis and Haley and all the rest of the gang. While at my parents house, my sister and Thomas, let a baby racoon fall in the pool and drown, while they took video and pictures. Due to the sadness of the video, and the fact that I might be hunted down by animal rights activists, I will not be putting the video on the blog. Poor racoon!
Not much else going on..both of us working now and enjoying our nights and weekends together. Settleing into married life. We love it and can't imagine life any other way. I actually used the words today, "I can't wait to get home.." and I was talking about mine and Thomas' home...Amazing how fast we adjust.
Keep praying for us and we will you. Love to all!
